About Shannon

Shannon is the 5th generation to grow up in Oak Cliff in the same house! She attended Providence Christian School, Bishop Lynch, and then Texas A&M University, where she met her husband, Nick. Following their marriage in 2009, they moved to Fort Worth, where Shannon began teaching at a classical Christian school, marking the beginning of more than a decade of experience in classical Christian education. She has taught middle and high school humanities and served in various children’s ministry roles, combining a passion for nurturing children in the love and knowledge of Christ with a commitment to supporting parents as the primary educators and shepherds of their children. Most recently, Shannon taught 8th grade Humanities at West Dallas Community School, a ministry partner of Park Cities Presbyterian Church. In this role, she integrated Scripture, literature, and history in a Christ-centered classroom, encouraging students to think critically and biblically. She has also served in church and community ministries in South Korea, Germany, and Japan, where they were stationed overseas with the U.S. Army. Shannon is committed to cultivating a joyful, gospel-rich ministry that partners with parents and equips volunteers to pursue what is true, good, and beautiful. She values unhurried rhythms in family life, encourages imaginative play, and curates a treasured collection of classic children’s literature. She and Nick have two sons, Charlie and William, and a large, fluffy dog named Scout. After 11 moves, 2 deployments, and travel to over 15 countries, they are grateful to be putting down roots in Dallas, just a mile from Shannon’s family home.
