Weddings at PCPC

Congratulations on your engagement! We rejoice with you and thank God for your desire to be married at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. At PCPC, we see marriage as a sacred covenant before God, an act of worship that reflects Christ’s love for His Church.

How to Schedule Your Wedding

To begin the process, contact Amelia Capo, our Wedding Coordinator, at [email protected] or 214-224-2747. She will guide you through each step with care and clarity.

Please complete the Marriage Form. After you submit it, Candie will forward your request to the minister you have chosen (if available) or recommend another PCPC pastor. You will then contact his assistant to schedule your preliminary counseling appointment. Once the minister approves your marriage, Candie will confirm your date, help plan your rehearsal, and schedule your first meeting with her.

Your wedding date will be confirmed once these four steps are complete:

  1. Marriage Form submitted and reviewed.

  2. Minister meeting and approval to marry at PCPC.

  3. $250 non-refundable deposit paid in full.

  4. First appointment with the Wedding Coordinator scheduled.

Rehearsals and weddings are not held during Holy Week, Easter, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year’s Eve or Day, or on Communion weekends.

A small Chapel wedding without a reception may be available on select Sunday afternoons at 4:00 p.m., pending the church calendar.

Preparing for a Christ-Centered Marriage

At PCPC, we believe marriage is a covenant designed to glorify God and strengthen His people. Because of this, our pastors and Session treat every wedding as an act of worship and discipleship.

After you submit your Marriage Form, the Wedding Coordinator will contact you to discuss your preferred date and forward your materials to your requested minister. You will then schedule a preliminary counseling appointment with that minister. This first meeting allows the minister to get to know you and discern your readiness for marriage. PCPC ministers officiate weddings only when both individuals profess faith in Jesus Christ and desire to honor Him together.

If either of you has experienced divorce, the minister will prayerfully discuss your story to determine whether the previous marriage ended on biblical grounds. In accordance with Hebrews 13:4, we also ask couples to honor the Lord by living separately and abstaining from sexual intimacy until marriage. PCPC cannot conduct ceremonies for couples unwilling to pursue holiness in this way. Outside ministers may participate only with prior approval from PCPC’s Session.

Pre-Marital Course

Growing Together Through UNION

UNION is a nine-week course for engaged, seriously dating, and newly married couples who want to prepare for a Christ-centered marriage. Each week explores biblical and practical topics such as the meaning of marriage, communication, expectations, in-laws, roles of husband and wife, finances, stewardship, conflict, forgiveness, and intimacy. Sessions include large-group teaching and small-group discussion. UNION meets Tuesday evenings at PCPC from 7:00–8:45 p.m. The cost is $30 per person, covering materials and a celebration dinner. For questions, contact Marisa Paden at [email protected].
