We believe the Lord Jesus Christ calls us into a relationship with Himself and with His people. The Lord never intends for His people to walk alone. For many reasons, the local church is vitally important to our life in Christ. Whether you’re new to PCPC or have been visiting for years, we encourage you to consider becoming a member.
The New Member Class gives you the opportunity to hear from different ministry leaders and learn more about our church’s beliefs, purpose, vision, and mission. We talk about the benefits and expectations of membership and walk through the constitutional questions (membership vows) to join the church. We want all our members to connect to Christ and to one another, to abide in Christ, and to extend Christ. We want you to understand what these things mean and how you can take your next step in Christ as you become a member.
The class normally meets on Sunday mornings in the fall (from September to October) and in the spring (from January to March), with joining dates in early December and early May.
We look forward to getting to know you and helping you decipher whether the Lord is calling you to be a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
For more information, contact Debbie Blanton. Ministry Coordinator for New Members, at [email protected] or 214-224-2744.
New Members Class Schedule
We host classes in the fall and spring that meet from 9:30-10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. For more information, contact Debbie Blanton, Ministry Coordinator for New Members.
Communicants
Help your child understand and profess faith in Jesus as they prepare to take Communion. The Communicants Class walks families through what it means to belong to Christ and His Church, offering guidance, encouragement, and a joyful next step toward the Lord’s Table.
Through parish ministry, we live out that calling across Dallas, encouraging one another, praying for our neighbors, and extending the transforming presence of Christ in every place He has called us.
Community Life
Parish Ministry
Parish ministry helps our large church feel smaller as we live as Christ’s people in the places He has called us. Across Dallas, members gather in neighborhoods to share meals, pray together, and care for one another. The Lord unites us with Himself and with each other, and we want PCPC to feel like family wherever our members live. Through parish life, we connect to Christ and to one another, abiding in Him and extending His love throughout our city.

Parish FAQs
The Community Team at PCPC organizes different initiatives to help foster parish life, but our ultimate goal is to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:11) so that the members of our church who live in the parish are leading and serving. We’re eager to work with Elders and Deacons and every member who senses the call to be the church where they are. We want you to get involved!
Parish Prayer Meetings
We want our members to gather regularly to pray for our church, their neighbors, and one another. To encourage this, we organize parish prayer meetings multiple times a year. These meetings happen in different homes around the city on the same day. We ask the Elders of our church to lead these meetings as we come together to pray for various needs.
Parish Dinners
Sharing a meal around a table is a simple and powerful way to connect with one another and to make our big church feel smaller. We offer parish dinners multiple times a year during a particular month. We identify members who are willing to host, choose the day and time, set up a registration, and invite members in the parish to register and attend. If you’d enjoy hosting a parish dinner, email [email protected].
Parish Home Groups
Home groups are a great way to grow in our relationship with the Lord and with one another. If you’re interested in forming a home group in your parish, contact the Community Team at [email protected]. We can help you think about leadership, vision, schedule, and content. We can also reach out to other members in your parish to help you build a group.
Beyond the regular rhythms outlined above, so many things can happen in a parish. If you want to get involved, our goal is to help you serve in ways that connect with your God-given gifts and passions. Here are some different areas where you can get involved as parishes grow and opportunities arise.

Shepherding and Connections
As the Lord blesses parish ministry, He transforms us and helps us to be salt and light in the city. In our parishes we can be the church in so many ways: welcoming new members, shepherding a large flock, caring for people with needs, studying God’s word, praying with and for one another, showing hospitality, and sharing Jesus with our neighbors.
We have created parish groups in the GroupMe app for every parish of our church. If you would like to be able to connect and communicate with other PCPC members in your parish, download the GroupMe app, create your profile, and reach out to us at [email protected] so our Community Team can email you an invitation link to join your parish GroupMe thread.
